There’s a reason the Cape smells like a giant campfire today

Smoke from Canadian wild fires has Cape Codders calling 911

That’s not a campfire or burgers on the grill most Cape Codders are smelling this Memorial Day. The smoke from fires north of Montreal has been wafting into Cape Cod homes all day.  The smoke was reportedly heaviest on the Outer Cape this morning and has been the cause for Cape fire department phones to be ringing off the hook.

According to Canadian authorities, the fires are under control.  Forecasted rains are also expected to improve the situation up north.
